Melanie holds BA in Music Performance from Hiram College, a MM in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Louisville and has completed doctoral work at Kent State University in Higher Education Administration.
Melanie has served as adjunct faculty at Mount Union College. She has worked in development for both Hiram College and The TMH Foundation in Warren. Most recently, Melanie was the Director of Education for the Summit Choral Society in Akron. Currently, Melanie is the Director of Music Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Warren. She is the founder and owner of Vlad-Schubert studios where she teaches piano and flute.
An active performing artist, Melanie continues to perform with area solo artists, duo pianist partner Victoria Harris, and A Duo of All Occasions (piano and guitar duo) with fellow Top Notes member, Joe Annandono.
